This is my mom as we went to her doctor appointment yesterday to check on her cornea transplant. This was first time she had been out of the house in over a week. Was also good she could sit straight up and actually see what’s going on around her.
Doctor was extremely impressed. I thought he did a whole cornea transplant. They only removed the diseased portion. Which he said gives quicker recovery time.
She’s is noticing a dramatic improvement. She can make out signs better and when watching TV she is able to describe facial features on people which she couldn’t do before. Her vision was 20/80 and when looking through dots it was 20/50. Much better than before operation.
Now we go back in three weeks for checkup.
