Google Now is a must have feature for me now!

In case any of you are not aware of Google Now, shame on you!  If you have an Android phone running 4.1.1 Jellybean then you should have Google Now on your phone.

Google Now is suppose to find information for you without you having to look for it.  For example, you are traveling to a new city and are looking for a good restaurant to eat at, or you are looking for entertainment near you.  If there is something going on there should be a card in Google Now with information for you.  The more you use it and search the more it starts to personalize itself for you.

When I was posting the article about Piers Morgan blasting a local pizza shop owner, I pulled up the company’s website.  When I checked my phone later I noticed it was telling me how long it would take me to drive to the restaurant in my pull down notification bar.   So I went to Google Now and yes, Chrome on my PC sent the directions to this restaurant to my phone.  At least I was sure it did:

So just to be sure I went to my PC and did another search for another restaurant.  Checked my phone a few minutes and the new information was also in my phone:

I have to admit.  This technology is looking good.  To figure that since I looked up a business I may want to have that address info in my phone so that I can locate the business is great.

With the things that we can do with Android phones, I don’t see where I would ever go back to an iPhone.  I don’t see Windows having something working this well for sometime to come.  Try this out yourself with your Android phone and Chrome browser on your PC.  It probably also helps to have Chrome on your phone, which is my default browser now anyway.  I especially like where I was viewing a webpage on my phone and stored the link into my PC’s bookmarks.

How come we can invent such wonderful technologies but as a race still destroy each other?
